HBO's Girls airs on Sunday, so it appears that every Monday will be a song from Girls.
The title of this song, more than the content made me think of the middle place, that humiliating, tenuous position between girl and woman, parents as safety net and adult do it all myself place.
If your current residence is the middle place, well, I'm sorry, that's just a terrible address, possibly the worst of all places to live. Yes, it's great to have a safety net, but when somebody catches your fall, especially if you fall a lot, there is a tacit agreement that they have some say in your choices, and when and how you'll pay them back.
