This Moment: July 9, 2011 - 7:41 P.M. Turtle Bay, Hawaii

White noise from the air conditioner and the clink of glass on glass, the only sounds. I sit on the wood floor, legs stretched before me, crossed at the ankles. This brief moment a respite from the beauty of the land, the lush flora, the pounding fist of the ocean, the sunsets that descend each day like light through cathedral stained glass. In an untamed land made of fire it is simple to drop the burden you've been carrying and fall in love again with your own wild heart.
